Our story
Pabade Bakery & Cafe is a family business proudly based in East Harlem. Inspired by his aunt’s delicious cooking, Yolfer Carvajal attended French-Jewish culinary school and moved to the United States to pursue his dream of baking professionally. In 2016, his brother Donny and sister Dahyanna joined Yolfer to launch Pabade as a wholesale bakery. The Pabade team sold a wide variety of baked goods out of East Harlem’s commercial space, Hot Bread Kitchen, for coffee shops in the New York City area.
While Donny and Dahyanna handled sales and logistics, Yolfer experimented with new ingredients and flavors—while keeping the company’s commitment to the best ingredients and freshest products. Pabade’s line of vegan muffins quickly became a customer favorite.
In 2019, the trio opened a café on E. 110th St. and Lexington. Locals and visitors visit the cozy space to enjoy La Colombe coffee, warm conversation, and their new favorite pastry.
Pabade Bakery & Cafe continues to provide top-quality wholesale and catering services in the NYC area.
